Backlinks for new websites

Your new website's first backlinks, from directories that publish.

A brand-new domain has no links, so search engines have little reason to crawl it. Directory listings are the safest way to get your first referring domains. 8ake submits your site to directories that put listings live, and you keep the login for every one.

Why get listed with 8ake

From DR 0

Our own sites started on brand-new domains and were listed by 8ake agents. The home page shows their Domain Rating now, fetched live.

Links that stay up

Only live listings count toward your target. Add Keep listed and every listing is checked monthly and resubmitted if it disappears.

No paid links or link swaps

No paid placements, no badge-for-listing deals, no private networks. Just public directory pages that link to your site.

Varied, relevant sources

Listings come from SaaS lists, AI tool directories, launch platforms, founder communities and human-edited web directories.

Questions

How do I get backlinks for a new website?

Start with directory listings, launch platforms and communities where you can list your site for free, then build on them with content and outreach. Directories are the fastest first step because they publish on a predictable schedule.

Are directory backlinks safe?

Links from real directories that review and publish listings are a normal part of a site's link profile. 8ake avoids paid links, link exchanges and badge swaps.

How many backlinks does a new site need?

There's no fixed number, but a few dozen referring domains is usually enough to get a new site crawled regularly. Plans target 15, 40 or 60 live listings.

Will this raise my Domain Rating?

Live listings add referring domains, which is what Domain Rating measures. How much it moves depends on the directories that publish and your other links.
